Homeopathy

Just as death is a part of life and night follows day, so too are health and illness two sides of the same coin. In its innate wisdom the body knows exactly when it needs an acute illness for its development.

Homeopathy - Introduction

The founder of homeopathy is Dr. med. Habil. Samuel Hahnemann. He was born 1755 in Maissen (Saxony) and died 1843 in Paris. He was considered a leading scientist of his day and age. In his capacity as a doctor, apothecary and chemist he published numerous valuable papers on these subjects.

He wrote "Organon der Heilkunst" (The Art of Healing) in which he put down the entire methodology of homeopathy in 291 paragraphs.

1. Law of Similars - "Similia similibus curentur"

Similar can only be cured with similar.

2. Potentised Medicines

Hahnemann described the process of an illness as dynamic. Dynamis means movement and is the basis of life. Just as health progresses dynamically, so too is the illness mobile. Only a potentialised and dynamised medicine can effect a cure.

3. Proving of Medicines

Since Hahnemann generations of homeopaths have "tested" countless medicines, i.e. experienced their effectiveness on themselves. Today's knowledge about the action of different medicines comes mainly from their carefully documented experiences and partly from the area of toxicology - reports of the effects of poisonings e.g. after the ingestion of belladonna.
